Zimbabwe Wildlife Conservation & Safari Experience

6 Nights / 7 Days | Fly into Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

Experience Africa beyond the traditional safari with this unforgettable TRVLD adventure in Zimbabwe on this all inclusive package. A key part of this experience is the opportunity to get involved. Join conservation projects such as anti-poaching snare sweeps, habitat improvement projects, wildlife monitoring, or lion enrichment activities, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the important work being done to protect Africa's wildlife.

You'll also have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the local community by visiting nearby schools and helping teach math and English to local children. These moments often become some of the most memorable highlights of the trip.

About The Park Reserve & Conservation Work

More than just a safari destination, this wildlife reserve is dedicated to protecting Africa's most iconic species through hands-on conservation, wildlife research, habitat restoration, and community development initiatives.

At the heart of the reserve's mission is a long-term African lion conservation program focused on helping restore wild lion populations. Through years of research, careful management, and a scientifically guided release model, lions are given the opportunity to develop natural behaviors, form prides, hunt independently, and ultimately contribute to future generations living in protected wild environments. The program follows internationally recognized conservation principles and emphasizes the development of self-sustaining lion populations rather than permanent human dependence.

Conservation efforts extend beyond lions and include wildlife monitoring, anti-poaching initiatives, habitat management, biodiversity research, and the protection of vulnerable species throughout the reserve. Guests have the unique opportunity to witness conservation in action while learning about the challenges facing African wildlife and the innovative solutions being implemented to address them.

The reserve also believes that successful conservation must benefit local communities. Through educational outreach programs, school partnerships, and community development projects, visitors can contribute directly to meaningful initiatives that support local children and families. Opportunities may include assisting with English and mathematics education, helping improve educational resources, and fostering cultural exchange that creates lasting positive impact.

By combining ethical wildlife conservation, scientific research, and community empowerment, the reserve offers an authentic African experience where every visit helps support the future of both wildlife and the people who live alongside it.

You’ll typically have 48–72 hours to secure your spot after receiving the invoice.

Q: What is the weather like in Gweru?

Zimbabwe has a tropical climate marked by two main seasons—wet summer and dry winter. When packing, be sure to bring outdoor clothing in neutral colours, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunblock. This is the rainy season, with hot, humid conditions and occasional heavy showers. Light clothing is ideal, but include a sweater for the odd cooler day. A raincoat is a must. It’s a beautiful time to visit as the landscape transforms into lush, vibrant green with many plainsgame babies being born.

    • May – August: Cool & Dry (Winter)

These are Zimbabwe’s winter months, with chilly mornings and evenings. Pack a warm jacket, gloves, scarf, and a hat for early starts. Daytime temperatures remain pleasant, and it’s one of the best seasons for wildlife viewing and evenings around the campfire.
